Leadership Transition Meeting and Inaugural Session of the 4th General Assembly of CDSA Successfully Convenes
July 6, 2025, Yanjiao - The China Diving and Salvage Association(CDSA) convened Leadership Transition Meeting and Inaugural Session of the 4th General Assembly at Party School of the Ministry of Transport, electing 4th Council, Executive Council leadership, and the Second Board of Supervisors. The event was attended by 442 representatives, including officials from relevant national ministries, distinguished guests, and member representatives.
In the work report for the 3rd Council, President Song Jiahui described CDSA’s 17-year journey as “extraordinary”. Facing multiple challenges including accelerated evolution of changes unseen in a century and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, CDSA has successfully accomplished objectives with guidance of innovation and high-quality development. CDSA has made remarkable contributions in promoting industry innovation, deepening international cooperation, strengthening self-regulation, advocating for industry interests, and cultivating professional talent, significantly advancing China’s diving and salvage sector.
During the meeting, Ms. Chen Liping, Executive Chair of the Presidium, presented the CDSA’s financial report. Mr. Luo Xiubo, the Chief Supervisor of the First Board of Supervisor delivered the supervisory work report.
Inaugural Session of the 4th General Assembly of CDSA was subsequently held, electing Chen Biwu as President of CDSA, appointing 22 Vice Presidents including Liu Yufei, Zhao Hui, Xiao Maolin, Wang Yongliang, Lai Yunjun, Ning Xiaodong, Li Huajun, Wang Xiaoyong, Song Baoru, Deng Fengguang, Li Qing, Du Guangming, Xie Youyong, Kuang Jingming, Wang Renyi, Xu Gendi, Zhou Xiangdong, Wang Xinman, Chen Ruixi, Cheng Jun, Liu Nan, Chen Liping (listed in accordance with the notice of the Society Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, in no particular order). Chen Liping will concurrently serve as Secretary General.
President Chen Biwu emphasized in closing remarks that CDSA must tightly align itself with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in thought, politics, and action; comprehensively implement the “Three Services” - founding mission of CDSA; deeply research the relationship between the Digital Economy and Diving and Salvage industry. He highlighted the importance of embracing new productive forces and artificial intelligence, leveraging digital transformation to drive high-quality industry development.
At this new historical juncture, the CDSA will seize the opportunity of its leadership transition to unite and guide its members in navigating challenges, pioneering new endeavors with tenacity, and making contributions to the accelerating the building of China into a maritime power.
