The 8th International Underwater Operations & Offshore Industry Expo Opens in Xiamen

Xiamen, China – November 7, 2025-The 8th International Underwater Operations and Offshore Industry Expo, jointly organized by the China Diving and Salvage Association (CDSA), the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI), and the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), grandly opened at 9:00 AM today in Hall A3 of the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. Under the theme "Focusing on New Drivers of the Marine Economy, Promoting High-Quality Development of the Diving Industry," the exhibition brings together global industry forces to showcase cutting-edge achievements in diving, salvage, and offshore engineering.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Chen Liping, Vice President and Secretary-General of CDSA. Mr. Chen Biwu, President of CDSA, delivered the opening address. In his speech, he emphasized guiding by the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, seizing the historic opportunities presented by the new technological revolution and industrial transformation, and continuously focusing on technological innovation as the core element for developing advanced productive forces. He stressed the commitment to deep-water, intelligent, and green development directions, fully enhancing the innovation capacity of the diving and salvage industry to better serve national development strategies and boost the industry's transformation and upgrade.

Distinguished guests witnessing the grand opening included Mr. Song Jiahui, Founder and Honorary President of CDSA; Mr. Jason Veerasingam, Director of Client Engagement - Asia-Pacific, IMCA; Mr. Tim de Wet and Mr. Jivram Jatin from Uganda Equatorial Training and Marine Services Co., the supporting organization for CDSA's Africa Liaison Office; International Special Casualty Representatives Mr. Huang Zhen Tang, Mr. Dae-Rae Kim , and Mr. Yoshiaki Nishibe; Mr. Lin Yanzhang, Director of CDSA's Hong Kong Liaison Office; Ms. Lin Hongmei, Supervisor of CDSA; CDSA Vice Presidents; and over a hundred leaders and guests from members in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong and Macao.

The exhibition spans a display area of 15,000 square meters. It has attracted over a hundred exhibitors, including more than 10 central and state-owned enterprises such as China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), China Rescue &Salvage(CRS), Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd.(COOEC), CNOOC EnerTech Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., CNOOC Technology Testing Co., Ltd., Changjiang Waterway Bureau, Huayang Maritime Center, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.(ZPMC), and Huadian Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.

Leading offshore engineering enterprises like Jiangsu Jiaolong Salvage Habour Engineering Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Manyang Shipping Engineering Co., Ltd., Zhengli Offshore Co., Ltd., Shandong Haisheng Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., DIV Group, and Bestway Marine & Technology Co., Ltd. are also present.

Notable offshore equipment manufacturers include Baoshi Compressor, Hopetec Technology, COSL Fugro, and Jianhu Qiyuan.

Participating maritime universities include Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Guangdong Ocean University, Jimei University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University Ocean Science & Technology Institute.

Financial, legal, and data service institutions such as Tianjin Pacific Insurance and China Maritime Arbitration Commission are also exhibiting.

The exhibition features multiple high-tech zones displaying offshore support vessels, rescue vessels, public service vessels, diving equipment, offshore new energy equipment, marine survey and mapping devices, emergency rescue equipment, comprehensive marine services, maritime aircraft, marine fisheries, and municipal engineering diving equipment, showcasing thousands of exhibit items and technologies.

The exhibits comprehensively demonstrate new products, technologies, and achievements across diving salvage, general offshore equipment, shipboard equipment and supporting products, underwater intelligent equipment and technology, offshore wind power, water emergency rescue, municipal engineering diving, and ship pollution prevention.

Held concurrently is the 10th International Underwater Operation and Offshore Engineering Equipment Technology Forum. Over a hundred experts, including CDSA Founder and Honorary President Song Jiahui, Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician and China Ocean University Professor Li Huajun, former Assistant Director of the National Fire and Rescue Administration Yan Peng, IMCA APAC Director of Client Engagement Jason Veerasingam, International Special Casualty Representative Nishibe Yoshiaki, and Uganda Equatorial Training and Marine Services Co., the supporting organization for CDSA's Africa Liaison Office, gathered to discuss frontier topics such as new drivers for the ocean economy, promoting the development of the diving economy, emergency rescue, and new underwater welding technologies.
